Plano read the situation perfectly that it was not a night for speed to hold up in the stretch. His first tally of the card was from his own stable in a $7,000 purse conditioned test with four year old trotter Spring Goal, owned by Maryann Plano of Pompano Beach. He followed that up with another well timed final half move with four year old trotter Tangier in a $5,400 purse conditioned event for trainer Marcel St. Arneault and owner Marcel Ouimet of Laval, Quebec. His third win behind a trotter on the card was a 19-1 upset with Cassini Hall in another $5,400 purse affair, and Plano's lone win with a pacer on the program was with $10,000 claimer Terror Time for the Ingrid and Shawn Glassmeyer connections in a 25-1 upset.
On Saturday night, March 24, the popular Miami Gourmet Food Trucks will be trackside from 6-10 p.m. along with a deejay for a Summer theme party during the live race program.
