The latest noteworthy winner from the mare was Jump Start at 17-1 in the 5th race of the Monday evening, March 19 program at the South Florida venue. With Anthony Napolitano in the bike, the 7 year old daughter of Albert Albert-Cara Mia Hanover sat prudently just off the pace in her upset tour of the track in the conditioned event for fillies and mares. Into the stretch, it appeared as though Joe Pavia Jr.'s 3 year old filly, Arodasi, was seriously prepping for a return to Pennsylvania Sires Stakes and Grand Circuit action after she surged to the front in a 27.4 third quarter. In the final eighth, Napolitano wheeled Jump Start to the outside from a perfect ground saving trip to earn a life's mark of 1:53.1. It was the opening leg of the popular Pick-4 wager and it would lead to a carryover of $5,247 since it was immediately followed up by a 7-1 score by trotting mare Soxy's Kid for the owner-trainer and driver team of Elizabeth and Rick Schaut.
The surprise tally by Jump Start was preceded by memorable upsets earlier in the meet by Real Joy (25-1 on October 24) and Real Jewel (9-1 on November 12). Richard Noel of Livonia, MI retains ownership of Cara Mia Hanover and her offspring. She has now produced ten foals. The highest earning is Real Jewel at over $120,000 followed by Monday evening's upset winner Jump Start at over $95,000 and Real Joy at nearly $63,000. That trio racing for Noel in Florida this meet are all trained by Mike Watson.
