The Raceway at the Western Fair District, fresh
off a $ 422,326 handle on Monday, is pleased to announce that advanced wagering
on all live cards will now be available starting at 12:30 p.m. daily.
Raceway Manager Ian Fleming stated, " Our
fans have asked for the early opening, and we have seen a segment of our
patrons that cannot sometimes make it for the early races, due to other
commitments." He added, "during the first few days of this new
innovation, we have witnessed numerous fans coming on their lunch hours to
wager on our product and even buy their lunch here, while making their
picks."
The Raceway will also feature the Free FM
Hippity Hop Trot this Friday night. Free FM will be broadcasting live
from the track, and patrons will have a chance to win a piece of the $
500. up for grabs, plus Raceway promotional prize packages. The lucky fan
who has the winning horse in the Hippity Hop Trot will get to present the horse
with the Free FM cooler in the winner's circle.
Racing continues four days a week during April,
with Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday post times at 4:05 and Friday nights at
7:05.
