Lon - From Magician To Miracle

LONDON, Ontario . . . The baby sister of one of this country’s most talented trotters will make her racing debut tonight at The Raceway at Western Fair District.

Daylon Miracle is three-year-old half-sister to Daylon Magician, a winner of more than one million dollars during his sophomore season in 2011 which led to his being named Canada’s top performer in his division.

Mary and Dave Lemon, who own and operate Daylon Farm in nearby Komoka, Ontario, bred and own both performers with Dave handling the training duties.  Unraced last year at two, Daylon Miracle, who is by Pegasus Spur, has drawn post seven in the first race on the Friday the 13th card.

Dave Wall, who will be inducted into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame later this year, has been assigned to drive the filly in her first lifetime start. He is somewhat familiar with her having guided her in her qualifier last week at the London track which she won by more than three lengths in 2:03.3.

Meanwhile big brother Daylon Magician continues to prepare for his four-year-old season with a 10 length romp in a qualifying race yesterday at Mohawk.
