Nfld - Stiletto is Looking to be a Millionaire

Northfield Park’s first race on May 15, 2012 marked the 46th and most recent win of the twelve-year-old trotter Stiletto.  It also bumped his career earnings to $999,173.  Stiletto is scheduled to compete in his next race on May 25 at The Meadows.

Northfield Park favorite Stiletto looks to become harness racing's latest millionaire Friday at The Meadows.
Stiletto looked promising right from the start.  His racing career began in June 2003 and he won all of his first three races in sub-two-minute miles at Pocono Downs.  His richest win was at Rideau Carleton Raceway in the 2006 edition of the $165,150 Frank Ryan Trot.  Also in 2006, Stiletto was the runner-up to Peaceful Way in the $789,750 Maple Leaf Trot at Mohawk Racetrack.  Mohawk is also where Stiletto took his 1:53.1 lifetime best.

Stiletto is a son Mr Vic from the Speedy Crown mare Armbro Natural and has been owned by Trudy Hite and trained by Wayne Hite since October 2010.  Throughout his racing career, driving greats such as Herve Filion, Ron Pierce, Jack Moiseyev, Luc Ouellette, Brian Sears, Mike Lachance, Richard Zeron and Paul MacDonell have piloted the talented trotter.

Stiletto has faced some of the best that the sport has had to offer an impressive 222 times.  In addition to his 46 victories, he has 29 second- place finishes and 19 third-place efforts.
