Tyler is a native of Washington Court House and started and ended 2011 by driving at Northfield Park. In the spring Smith took his talents to Indiana. He was the seventh-leading driver at Indiana Downs and ranked tenth at both Northfield and Hoosier Park. He earned over $1,000,000 in purse earnings in 2011.

NFLD - SEASON OF GIVING
The spirit of the holiday season sparks generosity in many. Few show the true spirit of the holidays like 18 year-old Tyler Smith. Smith donated $1,000 to Karen’s Kids, an organization in Southern Ohio, which provides needy children with Christmas gifts they would not otherwise receive. “I just wanted to do something to help,” said Smith.
