MR - PERFECT PICTURE TROTS TO VICTORY IN WEEKLY FEATURE; STALLBAUM WINS THREE

When Larry Stalbaum moved from the Wolverine State to at Empire State in 2005 he settled at Monticello Raceway where he was a force to be reckoned with. And for the  year and a half that he called the Mighty M home he was either the leading driver or among the leaders. Then, he like many, moved to greener pastures.

He’s back again this winter with some of his horses and yesterday, January 11 Stallbaum reined three winners on the card including the weekly trotting feature with  Eric Prevost’s Picture Perfect.

After starting from the pole position Stallbaum sent Picture Perfect to the lead and they cut all the fractions en route to a solid two length 2:00:2 triumph over even-money shot Heaven And Hall driven by Brandon Simpson.

Stallbaum also was victorious behind another Eric Prevost-owned trotter, Perfect Scam in a time of 2:00. He also scored with his own trotter Gotta Be Perfect in a 2:01.4 clocking giving him a “perfect” hat trick.

Since Saratoga Raceway closed, former Mighty M driving champion Jimmy Devaux has been participating here and on Wednesday he had  a hat trick of his own.  He scored  a nose decision with the Gerry Decker-owned pacer Shop It To Me ($78.00) in 2:02.1 and then was victorious with John and Nunzio Di Lorenzo’s trotter  Wishwell Bigmo in 2:04.1. Devaux’s final triumph of the afternoon was behind  Ale Kilpatrick’s trotter Ackbro Ms Perfect in a time of 2:01.1.

Last year’s leading driver Bruce Aldrich Jr. continues his winning ways again this season. He scored two victories on the January 11th card, also.
