NFLD - NORTHFIELD PARK TO OFFER 211 NIGHTS OF RACING IN 2012
Ohio’s leading racetrack by total handle, in both the on-track and export categories, is offering live harness racing four nights a week to start the 2012 racing year. January and February racing is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Beginning in March Northfield drops Wednesday racing and adds Saturday evening racing. That four-night-a-week schedule stays in place until November when Wednesday is added back in the mix for a five-night schedule during the final two months of the year. Exceptions to the 2012 schedule when no live racing is offered are: Kentucky Derby Day (May 5), Preakness Stakes Day (May 19), Memorial Day (May 28), Belmont Stakes Day (June 9), Labor Day (September 3), Breeders’ Cup Day (November 3), Christmas Eve (December 24), Christmas Day (December 25) and New Year’s Eve (December 31).
