In the $16,500 fillies and mares open pace, Runaway Tray (Jim Taggart Jr.) made
up for last week’s second place finish, and took home the lion’s share of the
purse. Runaway Tray captured her fourth victory of the year for trainer Alex
Kavoleff in 1:53, increasing her seasonal bankroll to more than $55,000. Bunny
In The Bank (Greg Merton) finished second, while Smoke Pan Mirrors (Fern Paquet
Jr.) was third.
