The 5K kicks off at 3 pm and is just $25 to enter (fee includes
event t-shirt, post-race party with live music, prize drawings and other
activities). All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
Registration can be done online at Active.com through 11:59 p.m. on June
22.
The event is a sanctioned 5K and prizes will be awarded.
Men's and Women's division winners will receive FREE running shoes courtesy of
Road Runner Sports of Paramus, NJ (Rt. 4 West). Water stations are being
provided by North Jersey Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Institute of
Clifton. Showers and locker room facilities are available.
The Ladies Night post-race party, presented by 95.5 WPLJ FM, is
open to everyone. Festivities include live music from 4 pm through the
end of racing, prize drawings and giveaways. Drink specials for ladies,
featuring Flip Flop Wine and Rum, will be available all night long. Fans
can also sign up for the Flip Flop Rum Run, a flip-flop race over the grass,
which benefits international shoe charity Soles4Souls.
The third annual Lisa Photo Stride for the Cure harness race will
be run that evening. Horses and drivers in the race will use pink
equipment that will be auctioned for charity. The harness race was
founded by Meadowlands track photographer Michael Lisa and his wife, Annette, a
breast cancer survivor. The Lisas live in Montvale, NJ.
