LONDON, Ontario . . . The Raceway at Western Fair
District hosted area families on Family Day yesterday with a variety of fun
activities which included meeting a pair of retired racehorses which proved a
big hit with the youngsters.
The Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society brought two
horses to London yesterday and not only did the children enjoy seeing and
petting the horses, it also afforded an opportunity to spread the word about
the good work the organization does to find homes for retired harness horses.
