Belmont Stakes Day Offers Big Fun at The Meadowlands

East Rutherford, NJ - Saturday, June 10 is Belmont Stakes Day and the action runs early to late at The Meadowlands. Come and enjoy the thrills of the finest thoroughbreds battling it out for big money on the giant outdoor screen with all the convenience and none of the traffic or travel woes. The gates open at 10:30 a.m. to accommodate Belmont Park's first race post time of 11:35.

The eleven race live card begins at 7:15 p.m. with the feature a solid field of nine veteran pacers in the $17,500 conditioned sixth race.

Iammrbrightside N (Jordan Stratton) is back in town and poses a considerable threat from the rail after unsuccessful trips to Tioga Downs and Saratoga harness for owner Blindswitch Racing Stable. He took right to the Meadowlands mile with a pair of impressive wins against lesser last month and his best might be good enough here.

Posted right next to him in an attempt to twist the tongue of race caller Ken Warkentin is Iwillmakeyousaywow (Dan Dube) who's been grinding out a decent living for owners Oldford Farms, Buter and Marion. He dominated a Meadowlands short series in April and has the versatility to adapt to any trip.

Odds On Equuleus (Vinny Ginsburg) leaves from post eight, is back in form after a short break and was a 1:49.3 winner in his last start for Odds On Racing. In a demonstration of great longevity, the now seven-year-old has paced faster than 1:50 in each season that he has raced beginning at age two and is inching in on career millionaire status.

Night time simulcast is another big attraction with the North America Cup eliminations heading a strong stakes card at Mohawk Racetrack and we'll take your action right here at The Meadowlands.

The evening is enhanced by a pair of fun outdoor events the 2nd Annual Meadowlands Battle for the Best Burger and BeerFest.

The forecast is good, so c'mon out to The Meadowlands and enjoy the racing and everything else.

The fun starts at 7:15 p.m.
