Nichols, NY -- Tioga Downs invites members of the local media to their annual
Press Night event, held on Wednesday (April 29) evening at 6:00 p.m. in the
Winner's Circle Lounge.
An assortment of delicious hors d'oeuvres will be on the evening's menu, along
with the annual Media Guide full of facts, figures, and statistics on the top
races, horses, drivers, and trainers in the Southern Tier. After remarks
from Tioga Downs management and local racing personalities, a final pre-meet
qualifying session will take place under the lights, with the first race due
off at 6:45 p.m.
The 2015 live harness racing season begins on Kentucky Derby Day, May 2, with a
special first post of 5:00 p.m. The season, which continues through
September 12, will maintain a Friday-Saturday-Sunday schedule (barring the
occasional exception), with Friday and Saturday cards starting at 6:15 p.m.,
and Sunday afternoon programs slated for 1:30 p.m. start times.
