As the start of the New York Sire Stakes program is right
around the corner, Monticello Raceway will be offering Prep Races for NYSS/Excelsior eligible horses.
“We will be drawing Wednesday April 29, for Monday May 4th, for our
first prep race, the purse for these events will be $4,500, our first Sire
Stake/Excelsior event is on Monday May 11” noted Monticello Race Secretary Eric
Warner. The first prep race will be for 3 Year Old Trotting Colts.
“With some of the top 3 year Old Trotting Colts are starting to qualify lately,
these races may fit perfectly in their schedule” said Warner.
Monticello Raceways Post Time is 12:50 for its Monday thru
Thursday schedule. The 50 cent pick 5 Wager runs in race 3 -7.
