Nfld - Northfield Park to Host Summit County Fair Races

This Saturday (July 28) Northfield Park will host the 2012 Summit County Fair Stakes. Buckeye-bred youngsters will compete for total purses estimated at $100,000.  In addition to the live racing action, Northfield will open for full-card simulcasting beginning at 12 noon. Over 40 tracks including Saratoga’s world-class thoroughbred meet, are on tap.

Summit County Fair Day not only offers great racing action, but also holds activities for the entire family.  Lady Luck’s clubhouse features a $14.99 buffet, while the trackside apron will be the place to relax for outdoor activities.  Food trucks will return as Seti’s Polish Boys and The Nosh Box offer up their tempting food creations.  So Yummy will be here, too, serving their cool and icy summertime treats.  Enjoy beer specials and live music by “Unknown Reason” on the outdoor Trackside patio from 5-9 pm. Also, kids can check out the children’s activity area from 5 to 7 pm.

Summit County Fair Day is not only fun, but it is a real bargain, too.  Guests can enjoy free carrel seating all day long and $1 live programs. Plus free admission and free parking! Post Time 7 pm.
