Harry Terror wins open pace at Tioga.

Harry Terror (Wally Hennessey) captures the $8,000 open handicap pace at Tioga Downs on Saturday (July 11).

Jins Shark (Jim Taggart Jr,) was the first out of the gate.  Harry Terror ($9.90) took over and hit the first quarter in :27.3 and went to the half in :56.3.  Reggiano (Renaldo Morales III) was first to make a move going first-over but couldn't get any closer than a length away.  Harry Terror led to three-quarters in 1:24.3.

Harry Terror went to cruise control as the reached the stretch.  Jins Shark made a great effort in deep stretch but fell short and settled for second as Harry Terror crossed the finish line first in 1:53.0.  Kotare Yael N (Corey Braden) finished third.

Harry Terror is a 6-year-old gelding by Western Terror.  It was his fourth win of the season.  He now has 20 career victories.

My Lindy Winner (Mike Merton) takes the $8,000 open handicap trot.

BJ Lorado (Jim Meittinis) went straight to the lead and led to the first quarter in :28.1.  He used a :29.0 second quarter to hit the half in :57.1.  My Lindy Winner ($3.20) made his move going first-over down the backstretch.  He was the first to three-quarters in 1:25.1.

My Lindy Winner started to open up as they made the turn for home.  The last one with a chance was second place finisher Beguin Dugoutier (Corey Braden) but My Lindy Winner was much the best and won going away in 1:54.1.  BJ Lorado held on for third.

My Lindy Winner is 5-year-old horse by Credit Winner.  It was his third win this season.  He now owns 11 career victories.

Mike Merton drove four winners on the night.  His other wins came with A Yankee Feeln ($5.30), Alway'syourway ($6.10), and Just Don't Wait ($26.60).

Live racing returns to Tioga Downs on Sunday (July 12) with an 11-race card starting at 1 p.m.  They will feature two division of the New York Sire Stakes for 3-year-old pacing fillies.
