YONKERS, NY, Monday, March 13, 2017—Due to
the impending late-winter snowstorm (oh, joy), Yonkers Raceway has cancelled its
racing program for tomorrow (Tuesday, March 14). It’s the second cancellation
of the season.
Evening simulcasting has also been
cancelled (no afternoon imports were scheduled).
Live racing (with evening simulcasting) is scheduled to resume Thursday night
(March 16), with afternoon simulcasting scheduled for Wednesday (March 15,
Happy Ides of March). Post time for the live Thursday card is 7:10 PM, as
usual.
Tuesday’s cancellation wipes out the second of three preliminary rounds of the
Sagamore Hill Pacing Series. By condition, this round is not rescheduled. The
third (final) prelim round goes next Tuesday, March 21.
Horsemen should note that the double-draw for Sunday and Monday (March 19 and
20) takes place Wednesday (March 15), with the entry box closing at 9 AM sharp.
