WHHC - Less Than 20 Spots Remain for the 2013 World Harness Handicapping Championship

Harness racing's only tournament to feature $100,000 in prize money, the WHHC will bring together the world's top handicappers on Saturday, April 13 at Meadowlands Racetrack.  Players who have not qualified through a satellite tournament may buy directly into the WHHC Final for $1,000 [$600 entry fee/$400 tournament bankroll].  The WHHC entry fee includes a cocktail reception in Pegasus on Friday, April 12 and a dinner buffet on Saturday, April 13.

The WHHC contest format requires players to bet 10 races: their choice of seven Meadowlands races, plus three designated mandatory races from partner tracks.  Players keep all pari-mutuel winnings.  Prize payouts are to the Top 10, with first place secured at $40,000.

Registration deadline is 10 p.m., Thursday, April 11.   For the contest entry form and complete rules, click here.

The World Harness Handicapping Championship (WHHC) is the partnership between the Meadowlands and the United States Trotting Association formed to create the industry’s ultimate tournament experience.  Standardbred Canada supports the project by facilitating the participation of Canadian racing and wagering outlets.

In addition to the Meadowlands, eleven racetracks and wagering outlets conducted WHHC qualifiers including: Balmoral Park, Maywood Park, Cal Expo, The Meadows, Twinspires.com, Northville Downs, Buffalo Raceway, Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park, Hawthorne Race Course, Pocono Downs, Mohegan Sun Casino, Red Shores, Western OTB, Arlington Trackside OTB, Grand River Raceway, Woodbine, and Northfield Park.  A complete list of participating outlets and qualified players can be found meadowlandsracetrack.com.
