YONKERS, NY, Friday, July 28, 2017—A
reminder regarding Yonkers Raceway’s matinee sojourn this Sunday (July 30th),
with a 11:30 AM first post. It’s the third of eight consecutive Sundays.
It’s a dozen-race card, with races 5 (post
time 12:50 PM) through 8 (2:20 PM) of the ‘French’ theme, as in overflow fields
at the mile-and-one-quarter distance. The $68,000 Open Handicap goes as the
fifth race, with last week’s blowout winner, Homicide Hunter (Brian Sears, post
8), leading a 12-horse ensemble.
August Sunday post times are (tentatively)
listed at 12:30 PM (updates if/when necessary).
The ‘New York, New York Double’ is also
back this Sunday, including Saratoga’s 3rd race (post time 2:07 PM)
and Yonkers’ 10th race (post time 3 PM).
Final post for Sunday is scheduled for
3:40 PM.
