Oh My Joepa ($3.40) won for the third straight time but it wasn't easy as Golden Gun (Ed Waishes) came flying late but finished second by a neck. Apollo Seelster (Truman Gale) was third.
John MacDonald, who has 58 wins on the season first won with 2 year-old Manverick (American Ideal-Desirable Cindy). Manverick ($5.40) won in his first career start. MacDonald also won with Coopers Beach ($4.40) and Ring Leda ($5.70).
