On Thursday
afternoon July 20, Austin Siegelman took advantage of the absence of 2 of the
leading drivers at Monticello Raceway and scored 5 wins on the afternoons
card. He struck in the 1st race of the day, scoring with
Sturgeon Seelster in 1:58.4, the hot streak continued in the 4th
race when he steered Literate Hanover to a wire to wire win for trainer William
Mintz in 1:57.1. He got back on track in race 10 and won the final 3
races of the day. Try’s Little Prince scored a pocket sitting win in the 10th
race, NY Whitesox won by 3 lengths in the fastest mile of the day 1:55.2 in the
11th and paid $3.50, the final win of the day came in the last race
with the aptly named Winning, winning by 4 lengths in 1:56.3.
The young
Siegelman is currently in 7th place for leading dash winning drivers
with 36 wins thus far this year at Monticello Raceway
