One-hour live
broadcast on TV home of the New York Mets on Saturday, July 15 from 9:00pm-10:00pm
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (July 11, 2017) – The 41st
Crawford Farms Meadowlands Pace will air live on SNY, Saturday, July 15 from
9:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
SNY is the official home of the New York Mets, Jets, and all
things New York sports and is available throughout New York, New Jersey,
Connecticut, and parts of Pennsylvania. It is also available nationwide on
DirecTV.
In addition to the $738,550 Crawford Farms Meadowlands Pace,
the broadcast will provide live coverage of the $420,000 Hambletonian Maturity
headlined by last year’s Hambletonian and Trotting Triple Crown champion Marion
Marauder.
The programs will be broadcast in high definition and produced
by the award-winning Meadowlands Television Department. SNY already broadcasts
the Meadowlands nightly recap show and successfully aired six live nights of
racing at the Meadowlands earlier this year.
“This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase our signature
event to a national audience on a major mainstream sports network,” said
Meadowlands COO/GM Jason M. Settlemoir. “This has the potential to drive
incremental wagering handle and help to strengthen the already powerful
Meadowlands brand. We have to thank our partners at the United States Trotting
Association and their Television Fund for their sponsorship and support of this
broadcast.”
The broadcast will be hosted by award-winning horse racing
broadcaster Justin Horowitz with Big M racing analyst Dave Brower. Gabe Prewitt
and Hall of Famer Bob “Hollywood” Heyden will also provide insights, wagering
advice, and interviews during the broadcast. Longtime Meadowlands announcer Ken
Warkentin will call the races.
