Stakes-filled
program to include increased guarantees in Pick 4s and Pick 5
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (July 5, 2017) – The Meadowlands
Racetrack is pleased to announce increases to its regular guaranteed pools in
effect on Crawford Farms Meadowlands Pace Night, July 15.
The Pick Five will have an increased guarantee of $30,000
while the Early Pick Four will see an increase to $40,000. The largest
guarantee increase will see the Late Pick Four bumped to $75,000.
Fans and horseplayers should be aware that post time on both
Pace Night and Elimination Night on July 8 will be earlier than normal at 6:30
p.m.
With the earlier post time, the multi-race wagers have been
adjusted on both nights; however, the increased guarantees will only be in
effect on Pace Night.
The Pick Five will cover Races 3-7. The Early Pick Four
begins on Race 5 and the Late Pick Four will begin with Race 9, which is
scheduled to be the Crawford Farms Meadowlands Pace.
The 13-race Pace Night program includes eight stakes races
worth nearly $2.5 million. The Pace final will have a total purse of $738,550,
making it the richest stakes final in North America for 3-year-old colt pacers.
