East Rutherford, NJ - Another of last season's stars returns to racing when
the multiple Dan Patch award winning mare Broadway Donna makes her
debut in the sixth race trot at The Meadowlands.
After a somewhat slow start to her 2016 season, Broadway
Donna ran the table last fall with a dominant sweep of the
PA Sires Stakes, Kentucky Filly Futurity and Breeders Crown finals to
secure year end honors.
She has won nearly $1.2 million thus far
in her splendid career for owner/breeder Jules Siegel's Fashion Farm,
trainer Jim Campbell and regular driver Dave Miller.
Coming in to the race off a pair of conditioning qualifiers
behind the likes of Hannelore Hanover, Broadway Donna finds a pretty stout
group against whom to launch her 2017 campaign. The competition is led
by multiple 2016 Grand Circuit stakes winner Dayson,
the razor sharp Opulent Yankee and a familiar foe from last season's
stakes in Fad Finance.
Broadway Donna and Dayson are both eligible to the $1
million Graduate
Series which kicks off next Saturday, May 20 at The Meadowlands.
Friday is Italian
night in Pink with a delectable assortment of dishes on the
buffet for you culinary delight.
