The Meadowlands Racetrack will offer two brand new $100,000
races to four year olds when the Championship Meet begins in May.
The
"Meadowlands Maturity" provides an opportunity to gradually
transition into the aged ranks with a start for a significant purse against
their own age group in the early part of the season. The trotting
race is on Saturday, May 4 and the pace comes two weeks later.
The
purse will be composed of $75,000 in added money, coupled with
the declaration fee of $2,500. There are no conditions other
than being a foal of 2009 nor any other fees to be paid. The race shall be
limited to the top ten
lifetime money winners as of the date of declaration.
