Carmine Abbatiello
harness racing’s king of the one liners and winner of more then 7,000 races
during his career is the first featured driver of the month (April 2016) at the
new Roosevelt Raceway website http://www.rrtrotting.com/carmine-abbatiello
During his career
Carmine won nine dash and eight percentage driving titles and holds the record
for having the most wins (over 2,500) at the old Roosevelt Raceway, more then
anyone else.
One of the stories to
read on the website is the Newsday article written by Tony Sisti about the
interaction of fans with the drivers during the questions and answers at the
first Roosevelt Raceway “Talk to the Stars” which featured Carmine and Lucien
Fontaine.
It was only fitting that
he be the first Roosevelt Raceway driver to be featured on the new website.
The websites launch was
very successful with over 8,000 hits in a two day period and at the same time
the Harness Racing Fan Zone had over 10,000 views with over 500 positive
comments.
The site will continue
to announce a featured driver each month and will make announcements as new
pages are added.
The motto of the site
“Promoting the past to promote the future”.
