East Rutherford, NJ – The big
news at The Meadowlands this weekend is a return to 7:15 post time beginning with
the Friday, March 11 program. There are thirteen races on both the Friday and
Saturday cards.
The low take-out/guaranteed
horizontal wagers have been rearranged with the return to the later post time.
The $30,000 guaranteed pool Pick 5 begins with the first race, race
three kicks off the $25,000 Early Pick 4 and the $50,000 Late Pick 4 is races
seven through ten. Earlier this week, The Meadowlands announced that any Pick-4 carryover pool will be moved to the corresponding
Pick-4 wager on the next live racing card.
On the racetrack, the product
is another thirteen chapter page-turner with the big fields and
competitive match-ups that has proven popular enough to sustain the record
breaking handle figures from last month.
A solid field of eight pacing
mares populates the featured eleventh race where morning-line favorite Clear
View Hanover starts from the assigned outside post. She has won three
of her last five starts with the meet's leading driver Tim
Tetrick aboard for each of those and he's back on for
Friday's race. Trainer Henrik Lundell has brought the mare back to top
form quickly after a long layoff for owners Joie De Vie Farm and Guidetti, LLC.
Canadian horseman
Anthony MacDonald will be in town on Saturday to represent his fractional
ownership endeavor known as TheStable.ca with an open seminar in the Gallery
6:30-7:30 pm. The event is available at no charge to all interested fans.
Please RSVP to media@playmeadowlands.com
with the number of people in planning to attend to help accommodate
the group size.
As always, Pink heads up the delightful dining options
with a beautiful buffet offered both night of live racing.
