YONKERS, NY, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 -- Yonkers Raceway has submitted its live harness schedule for 2012, comprised of 238 programs, each with a post time of 7:10 PM.
The schedule, which is pending the approval of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board, begins Friday night, Jan. 13. After the cards of Friday and Saturday (Jan. 13 & 14), the usual five-day-per-week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday) schedule returns beginning Monday, Jan. 16th.
There is an early June hiatus, with the Raceway dark after the Saturday, June 2 card, and returning Friday, June 15. The final program of the season is scheduled for Saturday night, Dec. 22.
The 2012 stakes schedule shall be released shortly. Please be advised Yonkers' 2011 racing season ends Friday night, Dec. 23. First post for all racing programs remains at 7:10 PM. Evening simulating accompanies all live programs, with afternoon simulating available around the NYRA schedule (note that the NYRA Christmas break runs from Dec. 19-27, inclusive).
