Leaving from post position number three in a field of seven, Marohn left and tucked in second as the field headed past an opening quarter in 26.3. As the field straightened up past the three eight’s mile mark of the race Marohn quickly moved All Spirit back to the front. The duo then controlled the field through fractions of 55.3 and 1:23.2 before drawing clear in the stretch to win her second straight in 1:52.
It was the sixth win in fourteen seasonal starts for the 6-year old daughter of Bettor’s Delight – Spirit Of Ivy for Larry Lanpher, and trainer Judy Lanpher.
Runaway Tray (Fern Paquet Jr.) used a two hole trip to secure second, while Hello Great Mate (Lewayne Miller) closed late for third.
