The Pick 6 begins in race four, a $25,000 open for
three-year-old trotters which will serve as the final tune-up for next week’s
Hambletonian eliminations. Riccolo is the 2-1 morning line favorite from
post five. The Trond Smedshammer trainee is undefeated in eight starts
this season. Weingartner, the 2011 Peter Haughton winner, will make his
sophomore debut for the Jimmy Takter Stable as the 3-1 second choice from post
seven. The field also includes Linda Toscano’s top Hambletonian prospect
Market Share as well as the Noel Daley-trained duo Gym Tan Laundry and Royal
Shyster.
The Pick 4 spans races six through nine and features a
$100,000 guaranteed pool. The Pick 6 and Pick 4 are $1 base wagers.
