Hennessey and Deters sweep Tioga Features.

Driver Wally Hennessey and trainer Mike Deters team up to win the $9,000 features at Tioga Downs on Sunday (May 9).

Rebellious ($3.00) is repeat winner in the Open Pace.

Rebellious went right to the front and hit the first quarter first in :27.0.  Ideal Jimmy (Jody Jamieson) goes first-over from third and takes the lead with one lap to go.  He led to the half in :56.2.  Rebellious popped out of the pocket and went to the front right after Ideal Jimmy hit three-quarters first in 1:25.1.

As they reached the stretch it was all Rebellious as he won for fun in 1:52.0.  Caviart Reagan (Braxten Boyd) finished second.  Ideal Jimmy had to settle for third.

Rebellious is a 7-year-old gelding by Mach Three.  He is owned by Joel Warner along with trainer Mike Deters.  It was his sixth win this season.  He now has 47 career victories.

Burn Notice ($5.80) captures Open Trot.

Rose Run Rudi (Jody Jamieson) goes three-wide and takes the lead before hitting the first quarter in :27.2.  Burn Notice takes control as they go by the stands for the first time.   He was first to the half in :56.0.  BJ Larado takes the first shot going first-over on the backstretch.  Burn Notice would have none of that and pushed him away hitting three-quarters first in 1:25.0.

As they made the turn for home Burn Notice breezed to an easy win in 1:54.4.  Rose Run Rudi won the battle for second.  BJ Lorado had to settle for third.

Burn Notice is a 6-year-old gelding by Cayenne Turbo.  He is owned by WHR Trust.  It was his fourth win of 2021.  He now owns 17 career victories.
