Andreios Kardia wins Sunday matinee feature at Tioga.


Andreios Kardia (Aaron Byron) would take the Open Pace ($10,000) at Tioga Downs on Sunday (August 6).

Time Out I'm Tired (Jim Marohn Jr.) would fly out to lead and carve out all the early fractions :28.1, :56.2, 124.4.

Andreios Kardia (Badlands Hanover) would climb out of the three hole and go first over, trading blows with Time Out I'm Tired (second), all the way down the stretch.  Andreios Kardia ($4.60) would prevail in the end with a 1:52.0 mile. The 6 year-old gelding would win for the third time this season and getting career victory number 22.  Dash Of Danger (Jim Meittinis) would finish third best.

Vernon Downs leading driver John MacDonald would continue his great weekend.  He had 13 victories in three days at Vernon.  He would add two more at Tioga downs on Sunday.  He would first take Machmemackie ($7.80) to victory after making a late move in the stretch to win in 1:51.4.   "J-Mac" would win again in the last race of the afternoon leading Charmbro Curiosity ($12.20) to the winner's circle.

Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Friday (August 11) at 6:50.  The track from Nichols, NY, will welcome the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for sophomore trotting colts.
