YONKERS, NY, Tuesday, August 29, 2017—It
would not be a Yonkers Raceway stakes program without the freebie...or
freebies.
Saturday night’s (Sept. 2nd)
dozen-race card, worth just under $1.5 million, is highlighted by a pair of
half-million-dollar Triple Crown numbers, the 63rd Yonkers Trot and
Messenger Stakes No. 62.
If that’s that not enough, there’s the
fashionable T-shirt giveaway and a free wager.
The first 3,000 Empire Club members can
stop by the promotions booth beginning at 4 PM to pick up their shirts (again,
it’s while supplies last and one per member, please). The first 500 EC members
who visit the booth starting at 4 PM also receive a pre-printed, Yonkers Trot,
two-horse, $2 exacta box ticket.
The Messenger and Yonkers Trot go as races
4 and 5, respectively. First post is the usual 7:10 PM.
