Tioga Downs to host NYSS 3 year-old trotting colts and geldings on Friday.

Three divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for sophomore trotting colts and geldings, will be featured at Tioga Downs on Friday night (August 11).

In the first division, the morning line favorite is Eye Of A Tiger As at 5-2.  The 3 year-old gelding is owned by ACL Stuteri AB with Kjell Johansson and trained by Anette Lorentzon, has five wins in eights starts this season.  Eye Of A Tiger As (Chapter Seven), has won NYSS races at Buffalo ($60,200) and Monticello ($39,200).  He lost by a neck in his last NYSS race at Yonkers ($56833).

The second choice is Top Flight Angel (Andy Miller) at 3-1.  Owned by Legendary Standardbred Farm and trained by Julie Miller, Top Flight Angel (Archangel) won a NYSS race at Yonkers ($55833) last time out.  The 3 year-old colt went gate-to-wire to win by almost six lengths.

The third choice in the first division is Seven And Seven at 4-1.    Although the 3 year-old colt has yet to win as to win this season, he had four wins as a 2 year-old, including the William Wellwood Memorial ($266,000) at Mohawk.  Seven And Seven (Chapter Seven) who is owned by Allen Smith with June and trainer, driver Thomas Durand, finished eighth at the Hambletonian eliminations last week at the Meadowlands.  His best finish this season was third best at the Goodtimes Final ($183,230) at Mohawk.

The second division is also a very competitive race.  Trainer Anette Lorentzon with owners ACL Stuteri AB and Kjell Johansson, also have the morning line favorite Guardian Angel As (Jason Bartlett) in this division at 2-1.  He has five wins this season including a NYSS victory at Buffalo ($59,100) by eight lengths.  Guadian Angel As (Archangel) placed eighth in the Hambletonian Final ($1,000,000) last week.

The main rival will be second choice Stick With Me Kid (Chris Lems) at 5-2.  The George Ducharme trained 3 year-old gelding is owned by Paul Fontaine, Ashlee Allyn, and Donna Bonno.  Stick With Me Kid (Deweycheatumnhowe) has four wins as a sophomore trotter including a NYSS victory at Vernon Downs ($39,200).

The third choice is Another Chapter (Scott Zeron) at 4-1.  Owned by Jeffrey Snyder with Four Friends Stable LLC and trained by Per Henriksen, Another Chapter (Chapter Seven), is coming off a NYSS win at Yonkers ($56,833).

The third division features 5-2 morning line favorite, Such An Angel (Mark MacDonald).  Owned by Samuel Caruso Jr. with the Purple Haze Stables and trained by Paul Kelley.  Such An Angel (Credit Winner) has just one win in six start as a 3 year-old but won four times as a freshman trotter.

The Ron Burke trained Arch Credit (Jim Morril Jr.) is the second morning line choice at 3-1.  Owned by Weaver Bruscemi LLC and Burke Racing Stable LLC, Arch Credit (Credit Winner) has one win, three seconds and a third this season.

The third choice is Swell Chap (Jim Marohn Jr.) at 4-1.  The 3 year-old colt is owned by Foge McKeever with Eldon Thompson and trained by Todd Rooney.  Swell Chap (Chapter Seven) has won four times as a 3 year-old this season.
