YONKERS, NY, Friday, October 4, 2013--Since no one negotiated Yonkers Raceway's
Friday night Pick-5, the resulting carryover of $3,322.65 becomes a
$10,000 guaranteed pool for Saturday.
...and Saturday's quintet of races (5 through 9) just happen to the final five
Fall Harvest events, $50,000 statebred soirees for 2-year-old pacing fillies,
3-year-old trotting fillies, 3-year-old pacing fillies, 3-year-old trotting
colts/geldings and 3-year-old pacing colts/geldings.
The Pick-5 is a 50-cent base wager offered on races five through nine nightly.
It has no consolation payoff, meaning if no one selects all five winners (as
was the case Friday), the entire pool (minus takeout) is supplemented into the
next racing program.
The wager also continues its built-in Monday/Tuesday night $10,000 guaranteed
pool as part of the USTA Strategic Wagering Program. Program pages for those
