The STHHA has approached track
management at Tioga Downs about the possibility of offering winter training
this offseason. The parties have discussed some options on the idea but would
like to get an idea if any horsemen would be interested in stabling at Tioga
Downs for the winter.
“Some of our local horsemen and
horsemen that ship to Tioga Downs in the summer have expressed interest in
stabling at Tioga Downs during the winter. We are hoping that we can work out a
deal with track management in the next few days that will offer horsemen a nice
and affordable location for winter training” said STHHA President, Guy Howard.
