Organizations come
together to help families affected by tragedy
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (July 9,
2019) – On Friday, June
21, 2019, Jarheads MC was riding to a charity event at the local American
Legion (Post #82) in Gorham, New Hampshire. The pack was struck by an
oncoming vehicle and 5 patch holders along with 2 supporters lost their
lives. Many others were injured and the devastation of this horrific
accident will impact those families and friends forever.
The Dirty Jersey Chapter of
Leathernecks MC has brought together Bergen County Harley Davidson, Marine
Corps League, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Legion Ride and
American Flat Track to create a benefit where 100% of the proceeds will go to
the Jarheads MC families. These organizations are dedicated to helping
mitigate some of the financial burden for the families left behind after this
tragic event.
The event will take place at
Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment on Sunday, July 28 from 12noon to
6pm. It will feature food trucks, merchandising vendors and musical
entertainment by Madison Rising. Tickets can be purchased at the door for
$30 and will include admission and BBQ lunch (from 12-3pm) provided by
Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment.
“We are grateful to be
able help these families during such a difficult time and welcome everyone who
can attend for what is sure to be a memorable afternoon,” states Andrea
Lokshin, VP of Marketing & Sales.
