Two-year-old pacing filly Somewherovrarainbow chose her eighth
lifetime start to flash the ability that runs deep in her champion pedigree as
the daughter of two Horse of the Year honorees – Somebeachsomewhere and Rainbow
Blue – won her Breeders Crown elim in decisive fashion.
Steered by Andy Miller for the George Teague stable and owners K
And R Racing, Somewherovrarainbow stepped out in a career-best 1:51.2 and
earned the right to choose her post position for the $600,000 final.
The Teague concern decided post two would be the
starting point for Somewherovrarainbow, while UF Dragon’s Queen, who opted out
of the elimination with a bye, got post 10 in the open draw. Favored L Dee’s
Lioness finished third and drew post one.
