MR - SEVEN IN A ROW FOR DVC GIFTED INDEED

DVC Gifted Indeed may just be a claiming pacer but he’s a good at that. On Tuesday afternoon, October  16 the 5-year-old Place To Be gelding reeled off his seventh consecutive victory when Bruce Aldrich, Jr. guided him to  and easy two-length triumph in a time of 1:56.2. That  win was the pacer’s 10th of the season.

DVC Gifted Indeed was claimed  for $7500 from Dino Lo Castro on August 21 by Cory Greenberg and turned over to trainer Bob Lounsbury. Since that date  the pacer has not lost a race  and his 1:55.2 triumph on 9/11 is DVC Gifted Indeed’s seasonal best.

His victory on Tuesday was with a $20,000 tag in what the featured race of the week at the Mighty M where claimers have taken center stage here.

Sent to the lead from the five-hole Aldrich  used the front-end route to an easy triumph over  King Cat Anvil N and Cory Stratton.

“Bob (Lounsbury) has him (DVC Gifted Indeed) in top form and he’s a pleasure to drive,”  said Aldrich who is rapidly approaching 4000 career driving victories. “He leave’s like a runner and loves being on the front-end. Plus he’s got a big motor.”

Last year, mostly in the claiming ranks at Yonkers Raceway and Pocono Downs DVC Gifted Indeed earned a lifetime  mark of 1:53 over the five-eighths ‘Pensy’ oval and amassed  over $110,500 in purse money.

This season the pacer has earned over $25,000 most of that in his last seven starts.
