For the 2nd
consecutive week, Monticello Raceway has raised purses, when this week’s
condition sheet come out, horseman will note an additional 10% to their purses,
on top of last week’s purse increase.
Monticello Raceway Race Secretary
Eric Warner, noted that “Historically, this has always been the time of year
that we raise the purses, the purse were raised 10% in February, so in a span
of 7 weeks, purses have actually been increased 30%”
