Beer and Horses at The Meadowlands

East Rutherford, NJ - Saturday night brings with it an eleven race Meadowlands card with six solid pacers set to contest the featured $18,000 pace in race six.

The inside three met last week and Rodeo Romeo fared better than rivals Bullet Bob and Matrix Of Luck by finishing third in a photo as the race favorite. "Romeo" has drawn the rail in Saturday's race with Andy McCarthy keeping the drive on the lightly raced five-year-old son of Rocknroll Hanover for trainer Chris Ryder and owners Oompa's Farm and Robert Mondillo. He's been installed as a tepid 2-1 morning line choice.

Artistic Major returns for the potent combo of trainer Steve Elliott and driver John Campbell. He was given a week off after a somewhat flat performance in this class two weeks back.

Special T Rocks is putting together another successful season for Delawarians William Sartin and Mark Salerno and trainer Joe Humpterfund, Jr. He dropped and popped last week against the NW $8,500 class, now returns to a more challenging level.

Mariner Seelster comes in off a pair of wins at Pocono against lesser for owner/trainer Mark Ford. Corey Callahan will handle him from the outside post.

Diners may enjoy a food and beer pairing event in Victory Sports Bar featuring Devils Backbone productsand with BBQ season looming, you can sign up to win one of 15 V-Broiler Go Go Grills.
