East Rutherford, NJ - Trotters take center stage on Friday night at The
Meadowlands with the talented B Yoyo heading up the featured
sixth race, a conditioned trot for a purse of $18,000.
B Yoyo is maturing into a top class trotter for trainer
Richie Johnson and since the calendar turned to 2017 has three on the board
finishes in four starts. At his best, B Yoyo packs a powerful closing
kick when raced off cover as evidenced in last week's winning effort.
Driver Joe Bongiorno afforded the gelded son of Striking Sahbra a perfectly
patient steer and B Yoyo responded, storming by rivals with a 28.1 end to
the 1:53.3 mile.
It's a slight move up in class this week and B Yoyo must deal with
the always dangerous duo of Muscle Diamond and Crosby's Clam Bake to bring the
top prize home to owners Bill Lambos and Dionisios Liberatos.
All of the pieces are in place for an enjoyable evening of dining
and dabbling in a lil' horseplay of the pari-mutuel variety.
