proved to be a memorable one for one lucky horseplayer that hit the Meadowlands
Jackpot Super High Five for $13,395.06.
The winning ticket was
purchased at Prairie Meadows in Altoona, Iowa.
The wager featured a
carryover of just under $10,000 coming into Friday night. The Race Five winning
sequence featured 19/1 winner Harper Lee followed by 57/1 Lastladystanding,
17/1 St Lads Morgan, 2/1 Paydaze On The Way and 3/2 favorite First Best for
fifth.
Nobody had hit the Jackpot
Super High Five at the Meadowlands since the Fall Meet began.
The parade of long shots also
triggered a massive trifecta payout. There was only one winning ticket,
purchased for $1, which returned $21,424.80. The ticket was purchased on-track
at the Meadowlands.
