East Rutherford, NJ - A single elimination race for the $750,000e Crawford Farms
Meadowlands Pace (final on
Saturday, July 16) and the $250,000 Graduate Series pacing and
trotting finals highlight the Saturday, July 9 live racing program at
The Meadowlands.
Race Secretary Peter
Koch accepted declarations on eleven sophomore colts and geldings for the
Meadowlands Pace. Race conditions state that with that number of entries,
a bye be offered in descending order to the connections of the top 2016
money earners. That offer was made only once, with trainer Tony Alagna
accepting on behalf of owner Tom Hill for their Max Hempt Memorial winner
Racing Hill, the top seasonal earner among those declared. The remaining ten
will race to eliminate one.
