Entertainment for a full weekend of Independence Day celebrations

RUTHERFORD, NJ – On
Saturday, July 2nd live harness racing will commence with a special
6:30 pm post time. Fans can test their luck in the cash cube. During the
races, guests can enter the Money Machine Fever contest prior to Race 5.
Six lucky contestants will have 30 seconds to catch as much cash as they can
and place it into a Hambletonian bag without bending down or turning around in
the cash cube. Cash denominations will include $1, $2, $5, $10, $25, $100 and
$500. Participants will catch Money Machine Fever after Race 2, 4 and 8. Each
contestant that participates will walk away with all the cash they have caught
in their bag.
Following
live harness racing, an enthralling fireworks display will take place to honor
Independence Day. The best place to be will be atop Victory Terrace Rooftop
Bar. With great views of the racing action, city skyline and fireworks,
guests are in for an amazing show that will begin 15 minutes after the last
race. Victory Terrace has a full service bar and a rooftop grill serving
hotdogs and hamburgers.
On Friday, July
1st, guests will head to Meadowlands Racing &
Entertainment for action-packed live harness racing beginning at 7:15pm
featuring the New Jersey Sire Stakes for 2 year olds and a chance to
participate in Money Machine Fever.
Horseplay will begin at 6:00 PM both nights. Buy a horse for $1
and throw the horse into the car for a chance to win $100 and entry into the
August 8th car drawing for a 2016 Scion FRS. All proceeds in the
month of July will be donated to the Team Racing
for Recovery.
