On Tuesday
afternoon Royal Heart, paced the 2nd fastest mile in the history of
Monticello Raceway. The 5 year old gelding by Royal Art cut fractions of 27:1,
56:2. 1:24:3 enroute to new track record of 1:51.4 for aged pacing geldings,
erasing the previous mark of 1:52 held by Buckeye One. Bruce Aldrich Jr.
drove the Jose Godinez trainee for owners Blindswitch Racing Stable and Dolne
Farm Services LLC.
