23, 2016 -- The post-position draw for this year’s $150,000 Molson Pace was
conducted during this evening’s pre-game show at The Raceway in London and it
was three-time defending champion State Treasurer drawing the coveted rail in
his quest for an historic fourth consecutive title.
The son of
Real Desire may not be the intimidating presence he would have been at this
time last year from post one. He has gone winless so far in three starts this
season and his connections will be hoping that another trip to London will get
his season back on track.
Last year’s
runner-up, All Bets Off, drew the trailing post eight and is coming off a
sparkling second-place finish behind Wiggle It Jiggle It in this past weekend’s
Battle Of Lake Erie at Northfield Park.
