YONKERS, NY, Tuesday, November 3,
2015—Yonkers Raceway’s “French-centric” Sunday matinees return this weekend
(Nov. 8).
First post for the dozen-race card is
11:25 AM, with the first seven races—all oversized-field trots going at the
mile-and-a-quarter distance—being simulcast overseas.
(Author’s aside…the Sundays run through
Dec. 13, with the exception of Dec. 6. First posts shall either be 11:15 AM or
11: 25 AM, but to try and keep things consistent, 11:15 is going to be what’s
listed for each.)
Sunday’s card is highlighted by $50,000
Open Handicap Trot (3rd race), with Luminosity (George Brennan) sent
“behind the 10-hole” in search of a fourth consecutive win and sixth in his
last seven tries.
To remind…the return of Sundays meant the
end of Thursday live racing/evening simulcasting (effective after last week’s
