“BASTILLE NIGHT” IN WESTCHESTER

BY FRANK DRUCKER, Publicity Director, Empire City @ Yonkers Raceway

YONKERS, NY, Friday, July 17, 2015—Three days after France celebrated Bastille Day, Yonkers Raceway celebrated Bastille Night.

Bastille, the trotter, wired his foes in Friday night’s $25,000 second race, going the distance in 1:56.4.

The Ronald Knigge 9-year-old Revenue S homebred, trained by his daughter, Ashley, and driven by Jason Bartlett, paid $6.40 as the slight wagering favorite. Bastille won his second race in 18 seasonal starts while going past $577,00 in career earnings.
