He’s Watching, the undefeated two year old and Dan Patch
Award Winner as two year old pacer of the year remains #1 in this week’s
edition of The Road To The Meadowlands Pace. He’s Watching qualified in
1:53.2 at Mohawk last week while appearing well within himself. He is scheduled
to have another qualifier before mapping out his three year old campaign.
JK Endofanera looks like the biggest danger to He’s Watching thus far, winning
The Simpson Memorial in his 2014 debut at The Meadowlands in 1:49.4. JK
Endofanera is an imposing physical specimen who seems to tower over his
competition in sheer-size. The horse making up the top-10 remain the
same, but Always B Miki jumped up three spots to #7 thanks to back to back wins
to start his season. He is in to go Thursday May 8th at
Harrah’s Philadelphia in a non-winners of 5 event. Allstar Partner fell
three spots to #10 following back to back losses to Always B Miki and JK
Endofanera to start his season.
Those that are knocking on the door of the top ten are Let’s
Drink On It (#11), who qualified extremely well at Hoosier and is in to go
Saturday at Hoosier in a non-winners of 5 event, That’s My Opinion (#12), who
is sent out by top connections of last year’s Meadowlands Pace winner
Captaintreacherous and looked super-impressive winning a non-winners of 2 event
at The Meadowlands in 1:50.3 and Limelight Beach (#13), who finished 2nd
in a fast mile (1:51.1) at The Meadows in his first start of the season.
Rounding out the top 20 are Jet Airway (#14), Twin B Speedo (#15), Doo Wop
Hanover (#16), Ideal Cowboy (#17), Tellitlikeitis (#18), Dancin Hill (#19) and
Some Major Beach (#20).
